The best beaches in Cádiz to visit very close to Los Castillejos

Beaches en Los Caños de meca

 Los Castillejos Beach

It is the beach that gives its name to our bungalows and in front of which we are located.

Los Castillejos has a beach and also small coves with crystal clear waters. Under the small cliffs of the Playa de los Castillejos fall the first cascades of fresh water, called Los Caños de Meca.

Pirate Beach

Located in the center of town, is the main beach of Los Caños de Meca and the most popular.

On this sandy beach you can find several “chiringuitos”, bars or restaurants. It has all the services of a great beach. It joins the beach of Los Castillejos, so you could walk out from the hotel and get there taking a walk through two of the best beaches in Cádiz.

Marisucia Beach

This small beach is located next to the Trafalgar lighthouse road. It is a beach very appropriate for the days of the west wind and very undesirable when there is lift, since strong waves rise and there is usually seaweed.

The environment of this beach is really beautiful and has spectacular views, on clear days you can see the Moroccan coast perfectly.

Beaches in Barbate: 12 minutes from Los Castillejos

 El Carmen Beach

This urban beach is located in the center of the town of Barbate and has services and promenade.

Its 1300 meters in length make it a perfect place to spend a day at the beach. In addition, in the same walk there are many bars and restaurants where you can taste the exquisite and famous Barbate tuna.

 Zahara de los Atunes Beach

With 8 km. of length and distinguished with the blue flag, the beach of this charming town has all the services, walkways to access and promenade.

It is one of the best semi-virgin beaches of Cádiz and of all the Spanish geography. Here you can spend a day at the beach, practice water sports, enjoy the cuisine and see one of the best sunsets.

 Hierbabuena Beach

On this 1 km long beach on the coast of Cádiz, in the Natural Park of La Breña and Marismas de Barbate and much wilder than the previous one, you can enjoy fine sand dunes, pine forests and cliffs.

It is a highly recommended beach for water sports such as surfing or windsurfing. It has a nudist part and at low tide you can access small coves ideal for bathing.

Beaches in Zahora: 15 minutes from Los Castillejos

Zahora Beach

Continuing through the Lighthouse of Trafalgar we find the town of Zahora and with this extensive beach that joins with the virgin beaches of the Lighthouse area in an extension of approximately 7800 meters of beach.

It is a quiet area and is considered among the best nudist beaches of Cádiz with La Mangueta beach.

 

Mangueta Beach

In this beach that still remains totally virgin you will not find houses or buildings in the surroundings. It is a sandy area that lies at the mouth of a stream.

It is a beach with little affluence and that joins in its northern area the famous beach of El Palmar, already in the tourist town of Conil de la Frontera. The area to the south is the wildest area and the most appropriate for nudism.

It is a virgin and very calm beach that is united by its south part to the Mangueta Beach and by the north to Conil town.

This award-winning blue flag beach belongs to the municipality of Chiclana de la Frontera and is one of the most important beaches on the coast of Cádiz.

With 4 km. of length and a width that varies a lot depending on the tides, goes from Cala de Roche to Sancti Petri. Like some of the above, it is a very extensive beach with lots of space and, in the southern part of La Barrosa, is the most exclusive area of this part of the coast of Cadiz, Roche and Sancti Petri.

This beach is located in an urbanization (Roche) and is linked to La Barrosa.

It is also awarded with the blue flag and has a 2km beach. which is accessed by the urbanization. Around here there are also coves of high landscape value, some of them nudists, from which you can enjoy magnificent sunsets. They are beaches of fine golden sand and crystal clear waters, with an average occupation.

In addition, Tarifa is where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, so we can find some beaches that overlook the Mediterranean and others to the Atlantic. The most famous beach of the town is Playa de los Lances and in the surroundings there are others such as Playa Dos Mares, Punta Paloma or Valdevaqueros.

 

 Bolonia Beach

Special mention deserves this beach located within the municipality of Tarifa, 25 minutes from the town and within the limits of the Natural Park of El Estrecho.

One of the most famous beaches of the Cadiz coast, not only for the beauty of the beach itself, but because this area also houses the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia. There are 3800 meters of beach with a forest of pine trees and a huge dune from which you can perfectly see the African coast.
